Remax Foothills (2000) moves Sundre

As an indication of the health and vitality of Sundre's busy Real Estate Market, all five RE/MAX Foothills Realty (2000) Realtors have each received a prestigious sales award.

The 100 % Club awards were presented by RE/MAX Western Canada president Elton Nash.

"This is the first time that each agent in the office has received the coveted award" said broker/owner Shelley Kohut. "It's a tribute to their dedication to their clients and an indication of how active the market has been."

As well as Kohut, who was the top producer, the other award winners are Real Estate Associates Arlene Hautzinger and Jacki Koot.

The RE/MAX office in Sundre is the town's busiest real estate office, maintaining premier market presence of over 40 % or of all real estate transactions.

In 2006, RE/MAX Foothills Realtors had total real estate transactions of $ 42,507,266. There were 269 total transactions, representing completed deals that resulted in the sale of property. The Realtors in the company averaged $ 7,285,811 in non-commercial transactions.

Shelley Kohut was the Top Realtor in terms of transactions by volume with a total of $7,508,000.

Meanwhile, RE/MAX Foothills is involved in a number of projects in town, including selling apartments in the new Bearberry Village Condominiums, being built by Spanwest Construction. "Because of the success of the Foothills Terrace condominium (on 3rd Street N.W.) and market demand, the brand new condominium complex is being built," said Kohut.

Construction on the 29 unit, 45 age plus condominium is set to get underway in June 2007, with a 10 month construction schedule, said Hautzinger, who is the lead Realtor on the project.

So far, 21 of the apartments in the complex have already been reserved, she said.

RE/MAX continues to be involved in selling the lots in the new Eagle Ridge subdivision on the town's north end. The project has recently changed hands, although details of the change-over have not yet been made public, said Kohut. There are only 21 lots left.

RE/MAX has also recently sold 40 acres on the north east end of town. "We are looking forward to seeing the developer's plans for the development starting this spring," she said.

RE/MAX Foothills has also recently purchased a 35 foot moving van with a hydraulic tailgate for use by its customers. "Clients will be able to use that to make their moves easier," she dais. The van will have "RE/MAX - Moving Sundre" and "One more great reason to call RE/MAX Foothills Realty" written on the side.
